The Cubbon Park Police have registered a case related to an alleged minor girl trying to travel on fake documents to Germany.

On Thursday, Panicker Ajay (24), and Savitha (name changed), who senior police officials claimed was a minor, tried to get a Schengen visa by applying as a married couple travelling on business to Frankfurt.

However, alerted by the German Consulate who ascertained that the documents produced by the two people were fake, a complaint of forgery was registered with the Cubbon Park Police.

A native of Kochi, Kerala, Ajay was said to be a senior travel associate with a travel agency in Indiranagar. The ‘couple’ roped in a third person, Mahesh, who was a freelance travel agent, to produce fake stamping of France and India on the passport number F 5137538 belonging to Ajay.

The previous visa stampings were found to be fake by the German Consulate, Visa Department, on verifying the documents. Senior police officials claimed the couple were allegedly trying to travel to Germany to seek admission for the girl in a nursing college.

While Ajay was arrested, Savitha and Mahesh are said to be absconding. A case has been registered under the various Sections of the Indian Penal Code related to forgery of documents and impersonation.
