Inspired by Hollywood

It is director Anantaraju’s new film Swayamvara that is ‘inspired’. It has Srinagara Kitti and Digant fighting for Sharmila Mandre’s affection.

“It is a beautiful story, inspired by a Hollywood movie. Of course, the story is modified to suit our purposes,” Anantaraju said. Given the story, he has chosen the old Rajkumar-Bharti starrer (by the same name) for the film’s title.

After doing some seriously sober roles, Kitti will use his guile to counter the charms of playboy Digant (haven’t we heard this before?). There will be loads of comedy, we are told. Sharmila too is happy to have teamed up with them.  Directors Prem, Yogaraj Bhat, Tushara Ranganath, Nagendra Prasad and A P Arjun have written lyrics for the songs composed by Manikant Kadri.

Ranaganath is also responsible for the dialogues. The film will be shot in 45 days by ace cinematographer H C Venu.
