A 14-year-old boy allegedly went on a stabbing spree at Jahangirpuri in north west Delhi on Sunday, killing three women over a loan of Rs 50.

He allegedly first stabbed to death Vineeta,30, who had loaned him Rs 50 and had informed his mother about it. Later, he killed a woman and her daughter who tried to save Vineeta. The boy was later detained.

The police said they got a call at 9:30 pm that a woman was stabbed at J-422 at Jahangirpuri. “We received another call at 9:40 pm about the same incident from one Satya Parkash,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police Meenu Choudhary.

Satya Parkash told the police that he was with his family at home when they heard screams from upstairs. He was with his mother Santra Devi, 40, and sister Jyoti, 24, rushed upstairs and found the boy repeatedly stabbing Vineeta with a pair of scissors.

“Satya Prakash’s mother and sister tried to overpower the boy to save Vineeta. But the boy stabbed both of them and tried to flee. But Satya Parkash chased him.

“On hearing the commotion, people blocked the street and the boy could not run away so he entered into a toilet. Satya Parkash bolted the toilet from outside and informed us,” said Choudhary.

The three women—Vineeta, Santra Devi and Jyoti—were rushed to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital where Vineeta died soon after arrival. Santra Devi and Jyoti died later while undergoing treatment.

Vineeta is a housewife and her husband Pawan Kumar, whom the boy's mother considered as her brother, runs a juice shop. Jyoti had completed her MBA and was pursuing LLB at Rohtak University.
