<p>The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested two BBMP engineers from Rajarajeshwari Nagar and a contractor in connection with the multi-billion fake bills scam, on Thursday night. <br /><br /></p>.<p>However, during the crackdown three others gave the police a slip.<br /><br />The arrested are Shivananda and Paramesh , both Assistant Executive Engineers, and Nagaraj, a contractor.<br /><br />Probe ordered<br /><br />The BBMP Commissioner Shankarlinge Gowda had directed the Technical Vigilance Cell (TVCC) to investigate the streetlights scam in the Palike.<br /><br />Palike engineers allegedly have given wrong evaluation of tenders and secured the Commissioner’s approval, with regard to as many as 127 streetlight packages.</p>
