<p>The 16th edition of the three-day intercollegiate fest of University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, called Milagro - 12, was recently held at the college campus. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The students put in every effort to ensure that the fest was a resounding success. <br />It continued for almost a month, and had many events in which students could <br />participate and showcase their talents. Colleges from across the State took part in Milagro - 12.<br /><br />The fest began with several sports events, both indoors and outdoors. Athletic students had the time of their lives, showcasing their talents in all the sports. <br />There were also many other events, in which students could prove their mettle. In fact, it was a month of pure fun and festivity on the college campus.<br /><br />As part of the lead-up activity to the festival, the Eco Club of the college had organised a campus-cleaning drive, to ensure that the college premises was spick and span and free of litter. <br /><br />Hundreds of enthusiastic students joined hands to make their campus clean and green. The last three-days of the festival was when the action really began. This period kicked off with an ethnic day, wherein the entire college was steeped in a festive atmosphere. The students wore their traditional best and kept their outfits diverse, showcasing the rich and diverse styles from across the country.<br /><br />As the festivity gathered momentum, the second day witnessed many on-stage as well as off-stage events. Kalarava, a Kannada event, was a crowd-puller. The students played a few quick games of antakshari which had the audience pitching in with useful suggestions as well. <br /><br />The ‘Mad Ads’ event had the audience laughing almost continuously and in the ‘Solo Dance’ event, the light-footed participants showed off their agile moves. The climax of the second day was the rock show, which had the crowd head-banging with enthusiasm. The final day of the fest began on a musical note, with various bands and singers competing against each other. There was a quiz based on Hollywood and sports as well as a more traditional swara-singing competition. The Indian band from the college put up a performance that will be remembered for a while. The group dance round had the crowd shaking a leg along with the participants and the fest came to an end on a grand note with a fashion show.<br /><br />Colleges such as BNMIT, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, MSRIT, Sapthagiri and the home teams from UVCE walked off with prizes. All in all, it was a grand success indeed.<br /></p>
