CCTV footage gives vital clues on officer's killers

CCTV footage of the Maharani College Circle has given the police some definite clues on the killers of KAS officer Mahantesh.

Though the police had earlier claimed that the CCTV cameras were defective, highly placed sources say that the police are in possession of the footage.

Most of them are fairly clear and record Mahantesh’s car and also a van following it. Footage from the Maharani College Circle is clear and shows the two vehicles.

However, the police haven’t found any good footage from the CCTV camera placed in the next circle, in front of the CID office, where the attack on Mahantesh took place.

Based on both the footage, the police are on a definite track and express confidence of nabbing the culprits at the earliest.
