Govt employees plan rally on September 16

 The government employees from Kolar district should take part in large numbers in the rally, urged leaders from the Federation’s district unit.

Speaking at a press conference held at Patrakartara Bhavan in Kolar on Sunday, the leaders demanded the fulfilment of 21 demands including salary on par with Central government employees.

Demanding 30 per cent HRA for A1 cities and 20 per cent for other cities, the leaders said that Centre had already announced it. The leave encashment days should be raised to 300 days, they added.

Drawing the example Central government employees, the leaders demanded reimbursement of school and college tuition fees of the State government employees’ children (for 2) and medical expenses of retired employees.

The other important demands put forth by the leaders are- reducing eligibility service to 20 years for getting pension; raising the monthly medical allowance to Rs 250 from the present Rs 50 per month; formulation of the insurance policy by the State government based on the recommendation of the 5th pay commission; raising the maternity leave to 180 days from present 135 days and sorting the pay disparity between a assistant teacher in high school and lecturer in PU college.

Federations’s Amaranarayana, M S Purushottam Reddy, K Mohammed Asifulla and C R Ashok were present .
