JOIN USThere will be no water supply to residents receiving water from Bull Temple reservoir on Tuesday as the BWSSB will carry out a pro-measurement maintenance work.
Water supply will be affected on Tuesday and Wednesday at Girinagar, Avalahalli BDA Layout, Avalahalli village, Timber Yard Layout, Muneshwara Block, Nagendra Block, Banashankari 1st Stage, Hanumanth Nagar, Srinagar, Gavipura, Ashok Nagar, Vidyapeeth, Chamarajpet, Kasturi Bai Nagar, Azad Nagar, Nanjamba Agrahara, Pipeline Road, Srinagar, Kalidasa Road, Raghavendra Block and surrounding areas.
The work is taken up to check the groundwater reservoir and to technically examine the bulk flow meters attached to the reservoir. According to a BWSSB official, a portion of water from Cauvery II Stage is getting diverted to areas receiving water from III Stage.
Around 270 million litres of water per day (mld) is recorded as against 300 mld supplied.
The remaining water is being supplied to another area, the official added. BWSSB will record the supply for 24 hours using their network. Based on the recording, they will get a clear picture of the actual water supply.
The BWSSB will be taking up a similar water shut down jointly with Bescom in the first week of June to carry out maintenance work at second phase of Cauvery IV Stage.
