The two accused arrested by the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of the Maharashtra police in connection with the July 13 triple blasts were arrested today for theft of a bike that was allegedly used for blast.
"Naquee Ahmed and Nadeem Shaikh were arrested in connection with a bike theft case and have been remanded in ATS custody till May 30", Khalid Azmi, lawyer of the accused said.
The chargesheet filed by the ATS in the blast case had said that as per the instructions of Yasin Bhatkal, Naquee and Nadeem had stolen two wheelers a day before the blasts and fitted explosives in them.
Azmi further said that there is another bike theft case registered against them and they are likely to be arrested in that case later.
