Monsoon session in July first week

The monsoon session of the State legislature will be held in the first week of July, Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said here on Monday.

The ruling BJP had sought a vote on account for four months for the budget proposal 2012-13 in March this year. The full budget will have to be passed by July 31. “I will go for a Cabinet expansion soon after the Council polls (June 11),” Gowda told reporters in the City.

However, the government is yet to decide on whether to hold the session in Bangalore or Belgaum.
