Members allege support by the police to culprits

Proper protection should be given to Venkataramanappa who belongs to scheduled caste (Madiga) and steps should be taken to protect his land from being encroached by others, expressed Samiti workers who urged district administration to take necessary action.

Police inaction

Some people allegedly trespassed into the field in front of the police personnel. They not only abused Venkataramanappa in the front them but also attacked him and tied him to a tree. Later the miscreants set fire to the fence, said members who demanded action against police personnel for aiding such activities. They also submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner.
