Two killed in dargah wall collapse

Two people were killed when the wall of the Hussain Diwanshavalli dargah, on the outskirts of Marandahalli village, collapsed due to strong winds on Monday evening .

Gul Mohar (21), and her sister, Jaharabi (13), were walking near the dargah when the sudden strong winds brought the wall crashing down. Gul Mohar died on the spot, while Jaharabi succumbed to the injuries by midnight at the Devaraj Urs Medical College Hospital in Kolar. Their parents who were walking a few steps behind them had a narrow escape.

Mulbagal police have registered a case. Legislator Amaresh met the family members of the victims and assured to provide them compensation. Tahsildar P Jayamadhav also met the family members.
