Need for literary harmony stressed

He was speaking at the PG Centre here on Wednesday after inaugurating a book, ‘Kannada Sahitya-Samskruti: Ekarupitanada Apakalpanegalu’ authored by Dr D Dominic.

Tamil literature students of Madras University are aware of K V Puttappa from Kannada literature. But the Kannada literature students have no idea about Bharatidasan of Tamil literature. This situation persist as it is  a common feeling that literature is limited to particular language. But this can be over come, if harmony is developed between these languge.

District has Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu at its border as a result of which people will be generally aware of the language spoken in these states. This should lead for harmony between languages, cultures and communities, he opined.

Dr C J Lakshmipati spoke on Kannada Sahitya-Samajika Vijnanagalu, Dr B U Suma spoke on Dalita Rajakaranada Savalu Sadhyategalu. Dominic, Dr M Bhyregowda of K S Muddappa Memorial Trust, Lakkur C Anand were present.
