Youth held while trying to sell revolver

Police nabbed a youth who was trying to sell a revolver in Udupi and seized the revolver.

The arrested is Raghavendra Kanchan (27) from Shivalli in Bailakere. Acting on a tip off that a person is in possession of a revolver, near Vijaya Wines in Balayipade, the police rushed to the spot and nabbed Raghavendra. While searching him, the police found the revolver fastened around his waist in a holster.

Raghavendra revealed that he had bought the revolver from an unknown person about a year ago. He confessed that he was trying to sell the revolver at higher price. He has been arrested under Arms Act.
