<p>World-renowned hip-hop dancer and choreographer Niels ‘Storm’ Robitzky will conduct a workshop from June 25 to 29, 4 pm to 7 pm, at the ‘Centrestage’ during the ‘Indo-German Urban Mela’ at Palace Grounds. <br /><br /></p>.<p>As part of the breakdance workshop, Storm along with Patrick Grigo aka ‘B-Boy Parrish’ will conduct lecture-demonstration, seminar and the battle for B-Boyers. The workshop will conclude with a stormy break-dance battle which will be held on June 30, 5 pm. <br /><br />Having developed his own style of dance, as well as a unique method for teaching, he will draw upon a variety of styles and practices of break-dance. There will be a particular focus on popping, locking and b-boying. <br /><br />Given Storm’s commitment to scientific foundations and aesthetic nuances in break-dancing, participants will be exposed to not only the anatomical aspects of dance, but also to aesthetic, rhythmic and musical elements. The workshop will also give importance to breaking, in a way that is true, to the breakdance form, but one that does not cross the safety limits of the body.<br /><br />Niels ‘Storm’ Robitzk stormed on to the scene in Bangalore with ‘Solo for Two’, which was the opening act of the ‘Year of Germany and India 2011-2012: Infinite Opportunities’ in September 2011. <br /><br />There is no entry fee for the event.
