Vijaya Bank announced the opening of 171 Ultra Small Branches in a single day on Monday, under Financial Inclusion (FI) in villages around the country.
Vijaya Bank CMD H S Upendra Kamath inaugurated 100 Ultra Small Branches in FI villages of Mandya District, Karnataka. Other 71 branches were opened on the same day in other states.
The bank has provided banking services to all the allotted 407 villages with population of above 2,000.
