Three arrested

4 held for vehicle theft
The police arrested four persons in a vehicle theft case and recovered a tipper lorry worth Rs 15 lakh from them.
The accused are Siddiq of Bantwal in Mangalore district, Chand Pasha of Hassan, Latif and Kalandar, both from Belthangady in Mangalore district.
The accused had stolen a lorry from Mangalore and drove it to Bangalore.
They changed its colour and number plates and were trying to sell it.
Porn CDs: One arrested
The Upparpet police arrested a person for selling porn CDs and cassettes and recovered 400 CDs and cassettes and a two-wheeler worth Rs 40,000 from him.
Nazeem (21) of Chamarajpet had stored the CDs and cassettes in the utility box of his two-wheeler and was selling them on Gandhinagar fifth main road near Burma Bazaar. On a tip off, the police rushed to the spot and arrested him, added the police.
