Tata Steel CSR initiatives honoured by UK trade wing

The award was received by Tata Steel Vice President (corporate services) Partha Sengupta and Chief (Corporate sustainability services) Satish Pillai from Lord Mervyn Davies of UKTI in Mumbai on September 17, according to a press release issued by the company here.
Hindustan Unilever Limited and the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology were the other two nominees shortlisted for the award along with Tata Steel.
The event had seven award categories namely- Investor of the year, Business Partnership Award, Green Innovation Award, New Market Entrant, Corporate Social Responsibility Award, Young Business Leader of the Year and Business Person of the Year, the release said.

The UK Trade and Investment India Business Awards were launched by British Prime Minister Tony Blair in New Delhi in September 2005 to recognize India's position as a key global partner.
