Mysore University Teachers Association (MUTA) has congratulated all the teaching staff for University of Mysore emerging in 12th position among the varsities in the nation.
According to a survey conducted by a national weekly, the varsity is ranked 12th among the 50 varsities.
A release from the president of the association Muzaffer Assadi and general secretary Thimmarajappa has also congratulated incumbent vice chancellor V G Talawar for achieving the feat.
The survey further mentions that University of Mysore is ranked first in south India and first in the State.
A total of 160 varsities were surveyed for the quality of education offered by the institutes.
The top three slots are awarded to Delhi University, Delhi, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi and Banaras Hindu University, Varnasi, the release added.
