<p>Bollywood’s first “He-man” Dara Singh, who turned to silver screen after conquering gritty wrestlers, is battling for life at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital since Saturday evening when he suffered a massive cardio-respiratory failure.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Talking to Deccan Herald, Kokilaben Ambani Hospital Executive Director Dr Ram Narain said: “He continues to be in a state which can be categorised as ‘extremely critical stage’…he is unstable and on ventilator in the intensive care unit.” The 83-year-old wrestler turned actor, known for his roles in mythological films as well as several box office hits, was rushed to hospital on late Saturday evening.<br /><br />Dr Narain said that Singh was put immediately on ventilator and other life-supporting systems on admission as “…preliminary examinations revealed lack of pulse and respiration. Cranium scan has revealed a clot in the brai.”<br /><br /></p>
