Last Updated 10 July 2012, 17:13 IST

Kushalnagar Gowda Samaja has opposed the BJP’s decision to ask D V Sadananda Gowda to step down from the Chief Minister’s post for no reason.

Speaking to media persons, Samaja president Kechappan Mohan urged the BJP high command to clarify the reasons, for asking Gowda to tender resignation despite, him delivering a clean administration in the last 11 months.

“Though Chief Minister of a State is to be selected in the Legislative party’s meeting as per the principles of democracy, the BJP has violated the method by announcing the Chief Minister after discussing it in a meeting in New Delhi,” he said.

Samaja’s former president Ponnachana M Mohan warned of staging protest for replacing Sadananda Gowda. Samaja secretary Kolambe Rajappa also spoke.
