Shettar keeps mum on political issues

Unlike his predecessors, chief minister Jagadish Shettar preferred to evade questions related to politics on his maiden visit to the city on Monday.

Upon landing at the Lalitha Mahal Hotel helipad, Shettar said that he didn’t want to comment on any of the political issues.

At Suttur Mutt, when questioned if the high command had issued orders to ministers to keep mum on political issues, Shettar clarified that there was no such imposition.

However, he said it was decided to discuss among the ministers before making any statements to the media.

Replying to a query on widespread discontent among minister about portfolio allocation, he said the issue has been resolved.  The assembly session would begin from July 19, he added.
