Relax and rejuvenate with spa in office

Any professional today feels hard pressed when it comes to time management and often the option of pampering oneself takes a backseat because work has to be prioritised.

But what if your dream of a massage-at-work comes true and you get a spa right within the office environment? You could read that again and it will still be as true. The concept of ‘spa in office’ is now here to ease your tense mind and rejuvenate your body simultaneously.

Already popular in Mumbai and fast catching up in Delhi, the concept of a spa at work is a reality today. All you have to do is, call up a mobile spa and the angels (no less than angels for those in distress) will come holding a portable bed and aroma oils to give you a spa experience within your official space. The catch, is your office should have a small space/room where the bed can be set up - to accord you privacy.

Leena Mehta from Vanya Spa says, “All you need is a 10x12 room which will provide space for a single portable bed and privacy. If a husband and wife work in the same organisation only then do we allow the room to be shared.” What is a mere 2000 for the relaxing-at-home-while-at-work experience? Apparently not much.

For those who find it difficult to take an hour out from their busy schedules, express services during lunch time are up on offer. Amita Singh from Tattva says, “All offices don’t have the space to set up a bed so we offer services that are possible while sitting on a chair.

Usually lunch time is the  most preferred where one can get a neck and shoulder massage; head and shoulder massage; foot reflexology; foot scrub; pedicure or manicure. Each service lasts 15 minutes and come as a dual package so that the client gets to enjoy two services for Rs 1500.” That takes care of your space issues too.

However, for a complete rejuvenation, choose special therapists who will cure your problems as you smell fragrant candles and lie on bed or lean back in your chair while listening to soft music. The therapist will reach 10 minutes before the decided time to set up the place and also carry disposable materials such as towels and lingerie to save you trouble.

Divita Kanoria from Tatha Spa says, “Even a half hour massage on the back and shoulders without oil is hassle free and can do wonders but if you have time and a private cabin then just relax and let our therapists do the treatment which will flush out toxins from your body. After the procedure, enjoy a hot cup of organic tea.” The price for a full body massage is Rs 2,500 where the massage type is selected according to the stroke, tailor made (sunshine based) or based on Indian flowers.

Enamoured with the thought? Find that free time during office hours to get pampered. Office spa is here to stay.
