In an emergency meeting convened by the Bangalore University Vice Chancellor with the chairpersons of Post Graduate departments and the deans on Monday, the decision to increase PG seats was decided upon.
Admission intake
The Bangalore University Vice Chancellor in exercise of the power conferred on him under Section 15(5) of Karnataka State Universities Act, 2000, has ordered for the enhancement of intake for admissions to PG courses with immediate effect for 2009-10.
The date of implementation of the order will be September 22, 2009 for the academic year. Increase in the intake of students will be applicable to regular seats for GM, SC, ST, Cat-I, Cat-IIA, Cat-IIB, Cat-IIIA and Cat-IIIB.
An increase of 10 to 20 seats in 21 post graduate courses offered in the Bangalore University will be available for students from Tuesday.
