Rahul bags six wickets to lift Air India into last four

Batting first, MICO’s efforts to put up a respectable total went up in smoke as Rathee (6/42) ran through the batting order.

With only Sathya Prasad (49) offering any resistance, MICO were bowled out for 132 in 29.4 overs.

Air India made short work of the chase, coasting to 133 for two in 21.4 overs, with Rahmathulla Khan (44), Sandesh Devasthan (41) and D Makasare (34 n.o.) proving to be the main contributors.

In another quarterfinal match, Sudhakar SR cracked a half-century as Bharat Electronics Limited Sports Club scored a comprehensive 50-run victory over Hutti Gold Mines Cricket Club.

Opting to bat first, BEL posted a comfortable 186 all out in 43 overs, spurred defiant half century from Sudhakar.

Hutti came into chase down the target but stalled in their steps when Narasimha Prasad knocked off four wickets giving away 24 runs to help his team bowl out opponents.

Gangadhar too chipped in with two wickets to have Hutti Gold Mines finish at 136 all out in 31.3 overs.
