JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda on Monday said the State is witnessing swift political developments which can’t even be ‘imagined’.

Elections to the Legislative Assembly may take place anytime, and hence, he would go on a State-wide tour from the third week of August.  He was addressing the media in Bangalore after the party’s executive committee and office-bearers’ meetings. A meeting of the JD (S) legislators and those who had unsuccessfully contested the elections in 2008 was held.  Gowda said he would tour all the 224 constituencies. State party president H D Kumaraswamy is already touring the State, the party council meeting will be held on August 16 or 17 in Bangalore, he added.  He said need for alliance with any other party would not arise as there are three to four ticket aspirants in each constituency.  Kumaraswamy said a legislator from Christian community would made minister and another would be nominated to the Council, if the party comes to power in the State. He said a separate board will be set up for development of Christians.
