ZP members stage stir

Addressing the protesters, ZP member H M Sathish said that BJP government led by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa is neglecting the local bodies. He said government is trying to carry out the administration with the help of MLA in those ZPs where Congress and JD(S) are ruling.

Zilla Panchayat is filled with corruption. Without offering ‘mamuli,’ officials are not moving files. All the school uniforms distributed under Naxal package are of poor quality. Zilla Panchayat President Gayathri Shanthe Gowda, Vice-President Manjula Raghumurthy, members Radha Sundaresh, Savitha Ramesh, C Radha, Sathi Sundaresh and others took part in the protest.

However, ZP member Belli Prakash who remained away from the protest said the protest was not necessary as Chief Minister himself had assured to appoint a CEO at the earliest.
