<div>The DMK has decided to scale down the Eelam Tamil Rights Protection Conference organised by Tamil Eelam Supporters Organisation (Teso) to be held in the city from Sunday.<br /><br /><div>While a discussion on rehabilitation of Tamils in Sri Lanka will be held as scheduled in a city hotel, the main conference will be organised at the DMK headquarters itself, announced DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi, who is also the president of the Tamil Eelam Supporters Organisation (Teso).<br /><br /></div><div>Meanwhile, a single judge bench of the Madras High Court, appointed to hear a petition by J Anbazhagan (DMK) against the Chennai police commissioner’s order refusing Teso the permission to hold the conference at the YMCA ground, directed that the matter be placed before the Chief Justice. <br /><br /></div><div>Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar said it will not be proper for the court to consider the petition. </div><div><br /></div></div>
