Inorbit Mall recently opened in Mahadevapura, Whitefield. The mall will be opened in two phases. While the first phase is already open, the second is scheduled to be opened before the year ends.

The mall will have a host of brands, along with many activities which will involve the community in and around the mall. “We have a lot happening at the mall, we try and involve the community and encourage budding talent,” says Kishore Bhatija, the CEO of Inorbit Malls.

Aikya, which is a community-based workshop programme, is held regularly and various types of workshops — like grooming your pet, cooking, gardening etc — are conducted for two days every month. “It is a great way to make the community come together and learn things. These are little steps in making the community stronger and unified,” adds Kishore.

The mall also provides youngsters and budding talent with an opportunity to put their talents on display. This is through a popular concept in cities like Mumbai, called ‘Live at Inorbit’. It is a great way to get noticed.

“‘Live at Inorbit’, which is a very popular concept in the other cities, acts like a launch pad for budding talent. Many such performances take place and we have students from various places coming in and participating,” adds Kishore.

Bodh, which is a program designed exclusively for the children, will be conducted to show them the intricacies of managing a mall. “We plan to take children around and show them how the various areas of the mall are managed, for instance the security, arrangements that we have if there is a disaster, how the fire security of the mall is managed and the arrangements in case of theft,” informs Kishore.

The mall will also be made available for the senior citizens and joggers for morning walks.  “Since we have enough space for the people to walk and jog, we thought it will be a very good idea to provide areas for such activities. We also have the required infrastructure like toilets, security parking etc and hence it can be used during the mornings as well,” says Kishore.
