Crafts from many corners

The weavers’ magnificence is now being brought to the City by the Crafts Council of Karnataka through its colourful Vastrabharana exhibition, which will be held at the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat from September 30 to October 5.

Vastrabharana has been exploring the possibility of bringing the unexposed and talented craftspersons from the remotest parts of the country into the limelight. This year, 42 platforms are lent to participating craftspersons and craft units from various places under one roof. Participants this year hail from 15 States, including Karnataka.

The exhibition will see unique handcrafted textiles, jewellery and accessories. The timing is 10.30 am to 7 pm.
