KPSC exam: Number of attempts to be revised

The maximum number of attempts that Karnataka Public Service Commission aspirants get for clearing the exam will soon be revised with the State Cabinet giving its nod for the revision.

V S Acharya said the general merit category candidates will now get four attempts, backward classes get seven, while SC/ST candidates will have no cap on the number of attempts within the age limit.

Hitherto, candidates could appear for a maximum of five attempts irrespective of their category.
