Police rush to U.P to nab accused in TNPSC Exam leak case

A team of police personnel have rushed to Uttar Pradesh to secure one of the accused in the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) Group II exam question paper leak case.

Police said they acted on a tip off and sent their personnel to that state and expressed confidence he would be nabbed within one or two days.

Nine persons, including the suspected kingpin Balan have already been arrested. He has been taken for police custody for questioning. The exam was conducted on Aug 11 across 77 centres in the district. At one centre here some candidates noticed a woman going through hand-written questions and answers prior to the exam.They informed invigilators they suspected it was leaked as questions were similar to those in the original paper.

Following this, officials and police personnel took her to the Collectorate, where she was questioned by the Collector V K Shanmugam. The woman reportedly told him her husband,a bus conductor, had given the hand-written questions and she was not aware from where he had got it.

Meanwhile police said they had arrested two more persons in the multi crore emu farm investment racket. The owners of Susi Emu farm are facing charges of duping investors of crores of rupees after promising high interest on deposits.
