A woman Post Graduate medical student from Bangalore allegedly committed suicide at her room at the hostel in this city reportedly over a failed love affair, police said.
They said other students informed authorities this morning on finding her room locked after which it was broken open and she was found hanging from a fan.
The woman, who had completed her MBBS at government Medical college here, was pursuing her Masters. Investigations revealed the 27-year-old woman had been pressing her lover to marry her for the past few days. But the man reportedly told her he had to first talk to his parents. She had also called him up four times last night, police said.
A Nursing college student at the hostel had recently committed suicide, fearing she would fail in the examinination.
