<p>M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology held its inauguration ceremony for the first-semester BE and BArch students of the college recently. </p>.<p><br />The best of educationists graced the occasion such as M S C Bose, former chairman and professor of mechanical engineering, IIT Bombay; M R Seetharam, vice-chairman, Gokula Education Foundation; M R Ramaiah, secretary, GEF; S M Acharya, chief executive, GEF; S Y Kulkarni, principal; N V R Naidu, vice-principal and T V Suresh Kumar, registrar academic. </p>.<p><br />In his welcome speech, principal S Y Kulkarni thanked all the parents and welcomed the first-year students. He also said that this was the 50th batch of students of MSRIT. <br />He emphasised that in addition to providing quality education and good infrastructure for technical education, MSRIT believes in imparting good values and principles among the <br />students. </p>.<p><br />Speaking during the inaugural address, M S C Bose threw light on various issues related to students and reminisced about his college days, campus life and also insisted on being in sync with the latest technologies. </p>.<p><br />He called upon the students to learn in a disciplined way, by <br />attending classes regularly and making the best use of the faculty available at MSRIT. <br />Being from the first batch of MSRIT in 1962, he acknowledged his faculty members and thanked them for their valuable advice in moulding his career. </p>.<p><br />He wished that MSRIT would reach greater heights in the coming years.<br />S M Acharya reassured the parents that their wards are in the perfect place for technical education. He insisted on “being taught to learn how to learn”. <br /><br />He encouraged the students to take up activities like sports, debate, robotics, science and technological forum which are already being nurtured at MSRIT, to develop the students’ personality as a whole. <br /><br />M R Seetharam stressed on quality technical education in the portals of this institute. He was proud to exhibit his talented and dedicated faculty. <br /></p>
