Anna Hazare raring to go after treatment in City

Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare on Saturday said he was all set to re-launch his struggle against corruption and would soon undertake a nationwide tour to create more awarenesss among the masses.

Hazare, who is undergoing rejuvenation treatment at the Jindal Nature Cure Institute on Tumkur Road, had an interactive session with the patients and others at the institute.
He was accompanied by former Lokayukta Santosh Hegde, who said he was inspired whenever Anna was around.

“I  will reach out to people, especially youth, with two issues. One is to fight corruption and the other is to hasten the development of the nation,” he said. Hazare denied rumours that he was planning to form a new team or a political outfit.

“I don’t want to talk about dirty politics at this place where people have to come to gain good health and calm minds. I have just come here to recharge myself,” he said.

Hazare said corruption was so deep rooted in society that people were not just greedy about their wealth, but also had a strong desire to acquire the wealth of others.

“I am not asking youth not to get married and give everything to society like I did. In fact, I want youngsters to get married and produce children who join the fight against graft.

But youngsters should promise me that they will rise to the occasion, whenever the situation calls for,” he said. “If the government sends you to jail, you should treat it as pride. You will get two meals a day there also,” he said.

Hazare was admitted to the Jindal Institute on August 27, after he developed high blood pressure, headache and dizziness. He is likely to be discharged on September 3.
