Seena's aide surrenders

Last Updated 14 September 2012, 18:46 IST

Manjunath alias Bande Manja, an associate of the slain rowdy-sheeter, Bettanagere Seena, surrendered before the First Additional Sessions Court, Bangalore Rural Friday afternoon.

He was one of the prime suspects in the murder of B M L Krishnappa at Arishinakunte on July 25. Sources said that Manja had supplied both men and money for the murder executed by Bettanagere Seena.

However, Manja has chosen to surrender in the case in which he allegedly attempted to murder Krishnappa in 2010, said Prakash, SP, Bangalore Rural. The court has remanded him in judicial custody for 14 days.

The death of Seena in an encounter with the police recently seems to have prompted the other accused, Venkatesh and Manja, to surrender.
