17-yr-old rescued from prostitution

 A 17-year-old girl from West Bengal was rescued from a house at Kotla Mubarkpur in south Delhi. She was brought to the national Capital on the pretext of a job, but was being forced into prostitution.

According to sources, the girl was rescued after an NGO informed police about girls being hid in the area and forced into prostitution.

The rescued girl hails from West Bengal’s 24 Pargana district. She told police that she was brought to Delhi through a man named Shabir on the pretext of providing a job in Delhi.
But he sold her to a man named Ataiar Rehman.

The girl’s parents had lodged a missing complaint in West Bengal following which a team of West Bengal police laid a trap in Kotla Mubarakpur area and rescued the girl from a house.
Ataiar kept the victim in a dingy room on the third floor of the house.

Forced into flesh trade

The girl was subjected to physical and mental abuse and was forced into prostitution.
She was forced to attend five to six clients per day and earned a minimum of Rs 10,000 per month.

She was even promised that any earnings over and above Rs 10, 000 would be shared with her. While her stay in the house, she shared the room with two other girls.
The victim has told that their limbs were tied with ropes during night to prevent them from escaping.

The victim endured this torture for 22 days.
The accused, Ataiar and his wife Ainnu Bibi have been arrested by West Bengal Police.
