Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray today equated the Centre's decision to hike diesel price to a "terror strike" and asked UPA allies to quit the government.

"Kasab killed 200 people. Now, at least 30 crore poor people in the country have been devastated in the Manmohan Singh-Sonia Gandhi-led terror strike," Thackeray said in an editorial in party mouthpiece 'Saamana'.

Trinamool Congress, DMK and NCP should quit the government and show that they truly support people, he said.

"Mamata Banerjee (TMC chief) should quit the government, instead of just voicing her opposition to the price hike. DMK and NCP have also created an illusion that they are pro-people by condemning the hike," he said.

The government has pushed people to the brink of graveyard by increasing diesel and LPG prices, he said.
