The bridge will provide connectivity to Maroor, Lingapura, Ranigate in Piriyapattana. The people from these villages had to cross the overflowing river to reach the main road to head towards district headquarters or schools and colleges. School and college going students are thrilled over the constriuction of the bridge. The bridge will also promote harmony among the villages, said Guddemane G Vishwakumar.

Farmers residing on the other side of the river were engaged in dairy farming. The farmers were carrying milk to the Guddehosur milk dairy by crossing the river using coracles. With the keen interest shown by District-in-Charge Minister M P Appachu Ranjan and Malnad Area Development Board Chairman Padmanabh Bhat, the bridge has been materialised.
