For some great theatre

National Law School of India University is all set to host its theatre festival, ‘Admit One’ till September 23 from 10 am to 7 pm, at the auditorium of the National Gallery of Modern Art.

This is an annual three-day spectacle presented by the cultural and fine arts committee of National Law School of India University.

The festival was started in 2006 in order to provide a platform for amateur
theatre groups and drama enthusiasts to showcase their talents at the inter-collegiate level.

This year, actor and theatre personality, Abhishek Saha from Mumbai, is part of the adjudication panel of ‘Admit One’, which also includes Bangalore’s Prem Koshy and Thiyagaraja of Mime Theatre, for the purpose of screening.

Nationally renowned

amateur theatre groups like Mad About Drama (Kolkata), Notice Board (Kolkata), Theatre Opium (Chennai), and Lok (Kolkata) as well as college drama teams such as 14 Idlies (MOP Vaishnav, Chennai), Verbum (Shri Venkateshwara, Delhi), Aiana (MIT, Manipal) and Rangpanch (NMIMS, Mumbai) will participate in the fest. 

This year, the prize money is worth Rs one lakh and among the prizes are those for best production, best actor (male), best actor (female), and best script.
