A 13-year-old boy was killed when a speeding lorry hit him, on Tumkur Road near 8th mile Friday morning.
Hemanth Kumar, a student of class 7 at Alur near Nelamangala, was crossing the road to catch a bus when the lorry hit him. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead. Kumar, son of Vasudev, had come to his aunt Sanjeevamma’s house in Peenya for the Ganesha festival three days ago. The lorry has been seized and the police are on the lookout for the driver.
Woman ends life
A 23-year-old woman was found dead, hanging from a ceiling, at her residence in Muneshwara Layout Friday morning.
Sowbhagya, 23, from Chikmagalur, was in a live-in relationship with Madhu from Mandya for the last three years, police said. The couple, working at a garment factory, was planning to get married soon. HSR Layout police have registered a case.
