Husband of a Congress councillor allegedly thrashed a motorcyclist over a road rage incident at Tilak Nagar in west Delhi on Friday.

It is alleged that Subhash Yadav, husband of Congress councillor from Tagore Garden Sunita Yadav, bashed up a youth named Nijhar Singh.

The motorcyclist was driving his bike when he found Subhash blocking his way with some followers.

As Nijhar blew the bike’s horn several times, Subhash got irritated and shouted at him saying, “Don’t you know who I am?”

Nijhar alleges that Subhash, along with his son and nephew dragged him down from his motorcycle into a house, and beat him up.

Naresh later received treatment for minor injuries at Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital.
Though local residents were witness to the incident, Subhash claims that he is innocent.

“The allegation is baseless. My son had a scuffle with him, and I separated them,” he said.
Police recorded the statements of Subhash and his son but is yet to take action.
