Vegetable processing co-op society building to be renovated

A resolution was passed in this regard at the general meeting of Kushalnagar Vyavasayotpanna Marata Sahakara Sangha held here recently.

The meeting chaired by the bank’s President U S Tata also approved the project of developing a Kalyana Mandir at the golden jubilee building at a cost Rs 10 lakh.
Tata said the bank has done a business of Rs 5.60 crore in 2008-09 with a net profit of Rs 3 crore.

Following a demand rised in the meeting, the travel allowance of the members was hiked by Rs 10.

Members V P Shashidhar and Abdul Gafoor urged that steps should be taken to recover pending loans of the bank, which has not been recovered for the past many years.
Shashidhar also urged that an area of 2 acres should be given for the purpose of building a KSRTC depot in Kushalnagar in the interest of the development of the town.
Responding to this, President Tata said the khata of 15.33 acres has not been transferred to the Society completely yet.

The issue will be discussed in the days to come, he said.
Secretary B M Parvathi presented the annual report. Earlier in the meeting, homage was paid to the deceased members.

Vice President A P Neelamma, Directors A M Raghavaiah, A V Shanthakuma, H K Lakkaiah, K K Nagaraj Shetty, DCC Bank Director Ballaranda M Mani Uttappa were present.
