JOIN US'I get to flirt with Ranbir'
Born to a Punjabi father and a German mother, model-turned-actress Evelyn Sharma relocated from Germany to Mumbai, just to get a feel of the country she had heard so much about.
“I was born and raised in Germany but I always wanted to come and live in India. My father has told me so much about this place and I had my own perceptions about the country. I always knew that whenever I come to India, I would head straight to Bollywood without a second thought,” Evelyn tells Metrolife.
Walking the ramp at a fashion show in the City recently, Evelyn was basking in all the attention. A debutante, Evelyn already has five projects in hand and is acting with some of the big names in Bollywood including Ranbir Kapoor who she confesses she adores to no end.
She’s working in Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani opposite Ranbir Kapoor. “We spend a lot of time together and I not only get to act with him but flirt with him as well. He’s a cute guy,” she gushes.
Looks like the modelling experience has helped Evelyn for she has been asked to wear pretty short clothes and has more than one bikini scene in some of her forthcoming projects. And the charming young lady has no reservations about it. “I’ve been asked to wear some really tiny clothes and I have no issues about wearing them. If you have a good body why not flaunt it?” she asks.
Evelyn went to an acting school and picked up the nuances of acting before she decided to stray into the big screen. “I am lucky to get so many offers but it isn’t easy to make a mark. I’ve had to work overtime to ensure that my Hindi is near perfect. I’ve learnt so much that now I am ready to dub for my films,” she beams.
