Clad in a green T-shirt and blue jeans, a glum-faced Shiney came out of the prison and left in a grey Mercedes Benz car with his wife Anupam and filmmaker friend Ashok Pandit.

"I'm completely innocent. I've complete faith in the judiciary of the country," he told reporters.

The 36-year-old actor had secured bail from the Bombay High Court on October one but could not be released that day as his lawyers had failed to complete the formalities. His release was further delayed since yesterday was a public holiday on account of Gandhi Jayanti.

The High Court while granting bail to Ahuja had set the condition that he will stay in Delhi till the trial commenced to ensure that there was no tampering of evidence.

The court had also asked him to pay a surety amount of Rs 50,000 within three weeks, surrender his passport and refrain from offering any inducement to witnesses, directly or indirectly.

He was arrested on June 15 after his maid lodged a complaint with Oshivara police station that the actor had raped her at his residence. The wife and child of the actor were not at home when the alleged incident occurred.
