Mallya may give it a skip

Sahara Force India team principal Vijay Mallya may miss his team in action in the second edition of the Indian Grand Prix at the Buddh International Circuit.

Mallya has not been a part of SFI’s previous two races in Japan and Korea and the stand-off with Kingfisher Airlines employees over salary may force the liquor baron to stay away from the mega event. After their talks with the top officials of the groundded airlines failed, the agitating staff decided to meet its chariman Mallya and also stage a protest outside the track during the GP.

When SFI driver Nico Hulkenberg was asked during a press conference on Friday if he and the team had met Mallya ahead of the race, the German said: “No, we haven’t met him yet.”
