French extravaganza in India

More than 100-year old cabaret of Paris, Moulin Rouge is set to give Delhiites a taste of a quintessentially French experience.

French hospitality chain Accor and Air France brings the world-acclaimed dance and entertainment troupe to India as part of the ‘World of Accor’ celebrations.

The 17-member troupe will perform in Gurgaon to celebrate the distinguished and elegant experience of “art de vivre à la française” ie. the French art of living.

The initiative, through the alluring performances of the most famous entertainment troupe from Paris, aims to showcase the extraordinary romance of French culture.

World famous for its French Cancan since 1889 and immortalised by the painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, the Moulin Rouge has always presented fabulous shows in glamorous settings, set to original music. A major tourist attraction in Paris, Moulin Rouge offers musical dance entertainment for visitors from around the world.

Besides France, Moulin Rouge in all has more than 80 performers from Australia, UK,  Sweden and Russia .  Troupe dance on energetic rhythm.

Commenting on the event, Yeshwant Pawar, of Air France-KLM says, “We are delighted to bring Moulin Rouge to India. I hope Indians rejoice in this entertaining performance and get acquainted with the French heritage.”

According to Jean-Michel Cassé of Accor India, “As our brands grow their presence in India, we are keen to familiarise our customers and partners with our roots and present a taste of French culture and glamour in India.”

Besides Gurgaon, the troupe will also perform in Mumbai to celebrate the friendship between India and France. Fanny Rabasse, manager, Moulin Rouge says, “Following performances in Australia, China and Japan, we are once again reunited in India in both Mumbai and Delhi to celebrate glamour and luxury. Moulin Rouge dancers are excited to be travelling to India to entertain audiences with their stunning performances.”

The troupe will perform in Pullman, Gurgaon Central Park on November 2.
