The temple will be opened at 00.30 hours on Thursday but there will not be any puja rituals on the first day and it is only ‘Vishwaroopa darshan’ of the goddess on the day.

Devotees will be allowed darshan of the deity from November 2, fulfill their vows and offer prayers.

The temple will be open between 6 am and 4.30 pm. Again from 9.30 pm till the last devotee has his or her darshan.

Siddeshwaraswamy kendotsava will be held at 5.30 am on November 15 and ‘Vishwaroopa darshan’ will be available up to 1.30 pm and the temple doors will be closed for the year and the devotees have to wait one more year to have a glimpse of the goddess.

Jewellery

The jewellery of the deity is kept at the district treasury after the utsav every year. The ornaments are brought a couple of days earlier to the reopening of the temple and the tradition is followed since years.

Accordingly the jewellery was brought in a palanquin to the temple on Tuesday accompanied by traditional musical instruments. They are kept in the house of the chief priest and the festival has officially begun.

Preparations are on to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the temple premises and also barricades are erected to enable the devotees to have darshan.
