<p>JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda on Wednesday said he would present himself before the Lokayukta court and submit all facts in connection with alleged irregularities in the Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project. <br /><br />The Lokayukta court hasordered a probe into the alleged involvement of three former chief ministers, including Gowda.<br /><br />Gowda allegedly granted 4,285 acres of land to the Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (Nice) for the formation of a township, without consulting the State High Level Clearance Committee. </p>.<p>Gowda, who has been spearheading a campaign against the controversial project for a long time, said he has not yet received the notice from the Lokayukta police.<br /><br /> “I am waiting for a notice to be served so that I can provide all factual information about the alleged fraud committed by the project promoter, Nice… I have nothing to fear,” he said.<br /><br />However, he skirted a specific question by the media on the allegation against him. “Who is he (the petitioner before the Lokyukta court) to make allegations against me? <br /><br />I have all the records to prove that nothing illegal has happened during my tenure (as the chief minister). If given a chance I will submit the proof before the court,” he stated.<br /><br />Stating that the Lokayukta police have their own limitations to conduct the probe, he said he would soon write to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, seeking a CBI probe into the BMIC project. The project promoter has cheated the Karnataka government to the tune of Rs 50,000 crore, he alleged.<br /><br />He also demanded that the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) should look into the project as the Union government has sanctioned a number of concessions and incentives. <br /></p>
