Though Karnataka ‘A’ fell short of expectations with the bat on the penultimate day, the bowlers did a good job to help hosts maintain their stranglehold over Himachal ‘A’ in a C K Nayudu Trophy Elite A match at the M Chinnaswamy stadium here on Sunday.
Karnataka, overnight 342/4, added only 134 runs to be bowled out for 476 in 119 overs on the third day.
Armed with a 180-run lead, Karnataka had reduced Himachal to 214 for six, a lead of just 34 runs, at stumps on the penultinate day.
